Memory Error Message
What to do: press the screen to cancel the message and notify your supervisor.
Why: the memory of the display is corrupted or missing.
Memory Full Message
What to do: press the screen to cancel the message and notify your supervisor.
Why: the memory of the display is almost full and needs to be cleared. Once it is full it will start overwriting the oldest data.
Firmware Upgrade
What to do: wait for the countdown (120 seconds) to finish or press NOW to start the firmware upgrade immediately.
Why: an automated firmware upgrade has been scheduled in and is about to begin.
Incorrect Firmware on Card
What to do: remove the processor card from your SmartCap and put it in the dock of the base unit or display to be charged and upgraded.
Why: the firmware version on your processor card in your SmartCap doesn’t match the firmware on the display. The card needs to be upgraded.
Display shows "FATIGUE UNKNOWN" Message
What to do: put headwear back on head. If already fitted, try to adjust the headwear such that the good contact is made with the skin of the forehead.
Why: system is unable to calculate a fatigue level – either because of no signal or poor signal.
Card into Headwear: ENDLESS FLASHING
What to do: swap processor card and try again.
If same result: (1) unplug display power, wait 10 seconds, repower display and try again. (2) dock card in base unit or display.
Card into Headwear: TWO FLASHES ONLY
What to do: undock card from the SmartCap and retry. If same result, swap cards.
NOTE: If this happens for all cards; return headwear for repair or replacement.
Card into Headwear: ALWAYS ON
What to do: undock card and retry. If same result, swap cards.
Why: processor card battery may need (additional) charging.
NOTE: If this happens for all cards - Return headwear for repair or replacement.
Card into Headwear: NO FLASH
What to do: undock card and retry. If same result, swap cards.
Why: processor card battery may need (additional) charging.
NOTE: If this happens for all cards - Return headwear for repair or replacement.
Card into Base Unit: SINGLE FLASH
What to do: no action required.
Why: processor card blinks once to indicate it has paired with the SmartCap system. From then on, the card will only attempt connect to that system. To pair it with another system, dock it in its base unit or display.
Display shows "No Comms" Message
What to do: no action is required.
Why: this message relates to system configuration. It does not impact your ability to keep using SmartCap.
SmartCap Display Frozen during Start-Up
What to do: while frozen, undock all cards from display. Plug card into left dock, then remove. Repeat for right dock. Unplug display power, wait 10 seconds, repower display and try again.
