SmartCap data timestamps and GMT

It is critical when performing analysis on SmartCap data that the timestamps be appropriately handled. As a general rule, all data that is end-user-facing is in Local Time, whereas data stored behind the scenes is stored in GMT. The table below provides more clarity on the formats used:

"All timestamps are shown in local time
and stored in GMT"

 

Source Format Description
Status timestamp - Database GMT Records stored in the fatigue_log table
Alarm timestamp - Database GMT Records stored in the alarm_log table
Fatigue Data Export Report Local Time Fatigue data shown on screen or exported to CSV using LifeHub or Fatigue Manager
Alarm Data Export Report Local Time Alarm data shown on screen or exported to CSV using LifeHub or Fatigue Manager
Fatigue Manager Reports Local Time All reports (e.g. Data Overview, Shift Investigation, Operator Report) shown on screen or exported to PDF using LifeHub Fatigue Manager
Email Report Configuration Local Time Setting in the report_configuration table to schedule automated reports such as Snapshot and AlarmView
Display LOG Files GMT Encrypted files stored on Display internal memory containing fatigue and alarm records.
LogDownloader output Local Time CSV data files output from SmartCap LogDownloader
